Physical Principles in ICT

Summary

The aim of the subject is to provide students with an overview of the fundamentals principles in ICT. Emphasis will be placed on the understanding of physical principles as well as on the connection with the application area. The subject includes oscillation, wave propagation, including electromagnetic waves and interference and diffraction phenomena, respectively, limits of classical physics with a link to atoms with multiple electrons and band theory of solids.
