Magnetic Measurements of Materials

Summary

The subject will be focused on the methods used for measuring of magnetic materials. In general they can be divided into the following three categories:

1) Methods dependent on the change of material properties (Hall effect, magnetostriction, magnetooptics)
2) Force methods (torsion magnetometer, AFM/MFM etc.)
3) Inductive methods (stationary coil, SQUID, VSM)

Students will get acquainted with principles and practical applications of chosen methods.
