Safety at Work and Fire Protection

Summary

The course deals with key issues in the field of occupational health and safety, occupational hygiene and fire protection. It provides a general overview of the principles of safe work and acquaints the students with legislation on health and safety at work. It explains the risks of the working environment, their effects, assessment and minimization in the working environment, including the risks of major accidents and industrial accidents. Furthermore, students obtain the necessary information from the field of fire protection, organization of fire protection units, their intervention activities, technical equipment and fire prevention.
