Summary

The course introduces students to machinery and equipment used in production, processing, and material handling systems. Students will become familiar with the design, functional parameters, and technological calculations of machinery such as conveyors, handling equipment, and storage systems used in raw material and waste processing. Attention is also paid to equipment for the handling, transport, storage, and placement of soils, waste rock, and other bulk materials used in land reclamation, site revitalization, and material management at disposal and stockpiling sites. The course also introduces the basic properties of particulate materials and their influence on the design and operation of conveying, handling, and storage equipment.
