Subject syllabus

1) Introduction to the subject, content, student requirements. Basic concepts of mechanical equipment.
2) Types of drawing documentation. Requirements for the level of drawing documentation, standards.
3) Projection and display on drawings, sections, dimensions, tolerances, details.
4) Distribution of particulate materials. Mechanical properties of particulate matter, measurement of basic parameters.
5) Distribution of mechanical equipment. Calculation of transport performance. Material transport.
6) Traction force transmission system, conveyors with an infinite traction element (principle, distribution, main parts). Fundamentals of conveyor theory and calculation.
7) Technological accessories and service devices of belt conveyors. Special types of conveyors - with a pressure belt, with partitions, hose.
8) Conveyor equipment based on the bucket principle - principle, design, main parts, calculation. Link conveyor – principle, construction, basics of chain conveyor calculation.
9) Conveyor equipment based on the principle of a rake conveyor – principle, construction, basics of chain conveyor calculation.
10) Equipment based on the principle of vibration – diagram, possibilities of excitation of vibrations, calculation of basic parameters. Equipment based on the principle of a worm mechanism – construction, division, calculation of parameters.
11) Transport by gravity – chutes, chutes. Pneumatic transport – minimum fluidization speed, division, basic construction diagrams.
12) Storage of bulk materials – tanks, silos, dumps. Calculation of pressures in bulk materials.
13) Bulk material carriers, issues of bulk material flow in transport and storage equipment.
