Anotace

The course “Geodesy” covers geodetic point networks, position and elevation measurements, and the principles of stakeout and other surveying activities in construction.
Professional Knowledge: Students will acquire basic knowledge in the field of geodesy, particularly regarding geodetic point networks, the principles of position and elevation measurement, methods for determining the position and elevation of points, and basic stakeout procedures in construction.
Professional Skills: Students are able to apply basic geodetic procedures in position and elevation surveying, work with geodetic point networks, and utilize basic methods and principles of stakeout and other surveying activities related to construction.
General Competencies: The student is able to independently apply the basic principles of geodesy when solving professional and practical problems, understand basic geodetic procedures, coordinate and elevation systems, and select appropriate procedures based on the nature of the task at hand. They are able to work with geodetic data, evaluate and verify the results of measurements and calculations, and assess their basic accuracy and usability. They are able to collaborate effectively in solving technical tasks, adhere to requirements for accuracy, quality, and documentation of results, and use the acquired knowledge as a foundation for further professional education and subsequent surveying activities.
