1. Introduction to the course, definition of basic terms.
2. Economic sectors, the importance of the mining and raw materials industries for the national economy. Economic output and its measurement.
3. Equilibrium in the mineral resources market in a perfectly competitive market.
4. Imperfect market structures in the raw materials industry.
5. Production factors and their specifics in the area of raw material extraction and processing.
6. Economic cycles and the impact of crises on the raw materials industry.
7. State economic policy in the energy sector and mineral resources.
8. Public resources and the fuel-energy industry.
9. Monetary policy and the problem of inflation.
10. Externalities in the raw materials industry.
11. Structural changes in the economy, technological innovations, and their impact on employment.
12. The importance of foreign trade for the raw materials industry.
13. EU economic policy with a focus on the mining industry in the EU/CZ.
