Summary

Meeting the social challenges associated with green and digital transformation cannot be achieved without the effective transfer of technology and knowledge into industrial practice. The course connects key aspects related to the transfer of industrial technology and knowledge in an international globalized context.

Upon completion of the course, the student will achieve the following learning outcomes:

a) Professional Knowledge
The student understands the essence and fundamental principles of technology and knowledge transfer in an international context and the specific features of their application in different industrial sectors. The student understands the forms of industrial property, international rules governing intellectual property protection, and the legal and institutional frameworks supporting research, development, innovation, and technology transfer in the EU and the Czech Republic.

b) Professional Skills
The student is able to distinguish and characterise individual forms of industrial property and assess their significance from the perspective of international trade and intellectual property protection. The student is able to interpret legal and institutional frameworks supporting research, development, innovation, and technology transfer and apply the acquired knowledge when analysing practical examples.

c) General Competences
The student is able to independently assess the benefits and limitations of technology and knowledge transfer in specific industrial and international contexts. The student is able to discuss practical examples, formulate their own arguments, and critically assess the potential for using technologies and knowledge to address societal challenges associated with the green and digital transformation.
