Anotace

The course clarifies the role of microorganisms in the live natural system.
Students gain information on the morphology and physiology of acellular organisms and basic groups of microorganisms, their status in the nature as well as on the mutual relations of microbial populations, including an overview of basic pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganism strains.
Some lectures will be dedicated to practical applications of microorganisms in water technologies and their role as indicators of water quality in accordance with valid legislation.
