Metallurgy of steel castings

Course aims

To characterize the systematics of steel castings, to know the context of thermodynamic and kinetic during manufacturing phases of non-alloyed and alloyed steel castings for the electric arc furnaces, to know thermodynamic and kinetic phases of production related non-alloyed and alloyed steel castings for the electric induction furnaces, to design and apply methods of deoxidation, and refining, alloying, methods of secondary metallurgy, to solve processing and metallurgical defects in steel castings.
