Summary

The subject is focused on the theory and technology of iron and steel production.
In the field of iron production, the subject is focused on expand the knowledge about the blast furmace raw materials and their preparation: sintering, pelletizing, briquetting, about the trends in coke function and coke quality indexes, burden profile and materials distribution control system, about blast furnace slags, removal of sulphur, carburization of pig iron.
In the field of steel production, the subject is focused on the theory of thermodynamic and kinematic basics, it solves of mechanisms of metallurgical reactions. The atention is also devoted to the gases behaviour, removal of inclusions, to methods of secondary metalurgy, there are also outlined the priciples of production of clean steel.
