Metallurgy of cast iron

Summary

The course focuses on the theoretical and practical knowledge of iron metallurgy and technology and their application in smelting and processing mimopecním. Emphasis is placed on understanding the ongoing processes of melting and explain the nature of vaccination and modification of cast iron. Students will learn about the physical nature of volume changes during solidification of cast iron and about the principles of technological design of castings and risers.
