Problem description:
One of the current society’s basic needs is health protection. The COVID 19 pandemic has shown how important it is to have effective means for health purposes to prevent the spread of infection.
Along with a rise in the number of infected people in the society, there is a synergic increase in the number of hospitalised patients, which significantly raises the risk of infection in healthcare professionals. Although breathing through a mask is strenuous, the current FFP2 filters/masks are highly effective. But masks also have several weaknesses. If they are not worn properly (the mask does not adhere to the skin), viruses can pass. Each mask is for a single use only. Once used, masks become hazardous waste, the disposal of which must follow strict rules. Nevertheless, UV radiation shows as an ideal measure against infection.
