We are part of the European University Alliance U!REKA.

VSB – Technical University Ostrava is one of the members of the European University Alliance U!REKA (Urban Research and Education Knowledge Alliance), which connects universities from Western, Southern, Central and Northern Europe into one common network.

Together with VSB-TUO, they are members of the university from Portugal, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Finland, Austria, Italy, Bulgaria or Ukraine. U!REKA European University offers many opportunities in the areas of international cooperation and knowledge sharing, as well as international study programmes and research initiatives. Together, universities are taking important steps to strengthen European goals in the area of climate neutrality, through a long-term strategy for education, research, innovation and social services. Climate neutral societies are the goal of the U!REKA Alliance. They achieve this through the training of experts on green and digital transformation. Universities cooperate not only in teaching, together they also create new educational disciplines and courses for students and the public, lead scientific-research projects or work on a common sustainable U!REKA campus. U!REKA SHIFT

The U!REKA Alliance has been jointly supported by the European University Initiative. Our joint U!REKA SHIFT project has been selected for funding by the European Commission. The project has 3 main areas: smart and sustainable cities, transition to a circular society, innovative governance models and citizen involvement.
