„One of the standout features of my experience at VSB-TUO was the unwavering support I received from the university. The dedicated advisors and staff were there for me every step of the way, offering guidance on academic matters, assisting with visa and immigration processes, and providing valuable resources for personal and professional development. Their commitment to ensuring my success and well-being was truly remarkable.“

Psychological consultations and self-development coaching for international students, academics and researchers

Looking after your health and wellbeing is essential. Life at university can be exciting and interesting, but can also bring some challenges such as adjusting to a new environment and the general stress of student or working life. Sometimes it can be difficult to reach out to family and friends, or deal with things by ourselves. Counselling can be helpful during these times.

VSB - Technical University of Ostrava intermediates psychological services and self-development coaching. Both services are provided free of charge. In addition, any information you provide at registration and what you talk about with your counsellor is confidential.

The psychological consultation is designed to cover a brief overview of your current situation and address any immediate concerns. At the end of your initial consultation, your counsellor will recommend some support options. Or perhaps you are currently pondering over some private or work issues and in this case self-development coaching can help you find the solutions that inside you already know but cannot see at the moment.

"Dear Coach,

I am delighted to write to you today to let you know that I have been offered the part-time position of "SW development and Support" at Vitesco Technologies.

When I had my appointment with you a month ago I was doubting my career choice entirely, but the personality and interests tests that you administered gave me confidence that I should be doing what I love.

Thank you for helping me out with my dilemma. I would not hesitate to recommend you to others who are in need of career counselling."
