Admission steps

Dear Applicant,

thank you for your interest in VSB – Technical University of Ostrava.

Let us help you go through the admission process, which means to undertake these main steps:

  1. Choose your study program

  2. Apply for studies

  1. Pay the administration fee (500 CZK)

The application will not remain in our system without the payment. It is best to pay the fee via EPS gate.

  1. Submit the required documents

You have to submit/upload scans of either your School Leaving Certificate (for bachelor’s studies) or Bc. Diploma and Transcript of Records (for master’s studies). In case of doctoral studies, upload scan of your MSc. Diploma and Transcript of Records.

Please note that an important part of admission process is a nostrification (recognition of your previous education):

For applicants to bachelor’s study programs it means recognition of secondary education.

For applicants to master’s study programs it means recognition of bachelor’s education.

For applicants to doctoral study programs it means recognition of master’s education.

In case you already have an official nostrification document, please submit it to your application.

If not, it is necessary to send the required documents also by post to the Study Office of the faculty to which you apply for studies.

Tuition Fee – after enrolment 

Tuition fees are:
Bachelor's degree - 50 000 CZK per semester, approx. 2000 EUR
Master's degree - 50 000 CZK per semester, approx. 2000 EUR
Doctoral degree - 500 CZK per semester, approx. 20 EUR

VSB - Technical University of Ostrava offers a Full-degree scholarship to eligible students who enrol in the 1st year of their studies in our university.
