Central Library of VSB-TUO (CL) is a university unit, integrated under the Vice-Rector for Science and Research department. The Central Library is located in the University Library building on the Poruba campus. There is the general lending department and study room. The library branches operate at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Safety Engineering and the Faculty of Economics.
The CL provides services to students, teachers, researchers, and external users. CL lends printed materials (books, journals) and provides access to the subscribed electronic information sources. CL offers study rooms, computers with internet access, copying, printing, scanning, etc. services.
Central Library services:
- purchasing printed and electronic resources,
- providing interlibrary loan services,
- maintaining a system of departmental libraries,
- providing the training and courses on topics such as bibliographic citations, and how to write a thesis, how to use electronic resources.
