About the Industrial Board

The Industrial Board is an advisory body of the Rector aiming to deepen the links of the University and business practice. Its operation is laid down by the Rules of Procedure for the Industrial Board of VSB - Technical University of Ostrava.

The Chairman of the Industrial board is the Rector who also appoints and revokes its members. These members include corporate bodies represented by their agents with whom VSB-TUO cooperates on a long-term basis within the framework of its educational, scientific and research, development and innovation activity, and members of the Academic community of VSB-TUO.

The purpose of the Industrial Board:

closer links of tertiary education and technical practice
mutual sharing of information between the University and cooperating businesses
more intense cooperation in the field of science, research and innovation, primarily by means of working on mutual projects, or through contractual research
support of implementation of results of science, research and innovation in practice – technology transfer
intensification of important feedback for the University from cooperating businesses
promotion of technical education in the Czech Republic and support of development of the Moravian-Silesian Region
support of the University PR activities
support of other areas the members of the Industrial Board agree on
