HEALTH INSURANCE
European Health Insurance Card holders and nationals of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cuba, Japan, Macedonia, Montenegro, Turkey, Tunisia and Serbia
We strongly advise all students from the above-mentioned countries to register at a Czech insurance company after their arrival in the Czech Republic. The registration is free of charge and it is required by Czech hospitals and doctors. If you don't register with a Czech insurance company, you will have to pay every medical treatment you receive at a doctor or in hospital here. Then, you will have to bring the bills to your insurance company in your home country and get it reimbursed. Visit the International Contact Point after your arrival to help you with the registration process. https://www.vsb.cz/en/study/international-contact-point
Nationals of other non-EU countries
All students from non-EU countries (except the above-mentioned) MUST arrange comprehensive health insurance from PVZP (Plus or Exclusive) https://www.pvzp.cz/en/
If you are not sure which type of insurance you should have or require more information, contact the International Contact Point:
