VSB-TUO proudly aligns itself with the principles of sustainable development, which seeks to harmonize economic growth, social development, and environmental protection to ensure prosperity for both present and future generations. This approach emphasises the balance between these three pillars, ensuring that today’s needs are met without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own. Key elements of sustainable development include the efficient use of resources, ecosystem protection, social justice, and economic inclusion. To achieve these goals, our University leverages innovation, participatory planning, and global cooperation. A significant framework for fulfilling sustainable development, to which VSB-TUO actively contributes, is the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations, providing a comprehensive plan for addressing global challenges.
