Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The student will get to know the technologies and procedures that are used in the surface treatment of bodywork and car parts. As part of the study, the student will acquire basic knowledge of the technologies for the preparation of various types of material surfaces intended for the application of sprays and coatings. He will also gain knowledge about the protection of surfaces against corrosion and oxidation. The student will become familiar with the technological procedures and times that must be observed when applying individual types of surface treatments. In addition, the student gets to know the finishing operations and gets an overview of the procedures for repairing defects. In the course, students will also gain knowledge about quality control procedures for surface treatments. After completing the course, the student should be able to independently design the technological process of surface treatment of various types of parts used in automobiles and use the knowledge from a practical point of view.
