Summary
The subject is focused on theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of heat supply. Attention is mainly paid to the basic principles of calculating heat losses, the possibilities of reducing heating costs, the basic types of heat sources. The student will get basic information about heat sources and heating plants, learn about the principle, operation and construction of gas and solid fuel boilers and learn about the principles and basic types of heat exchangers.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Student will be able:
- to characterize the main principles of heating buildings in terms of thermal properties
- to characterize the basic types of heat sources and heating plants
- to categorize heat exchangers
