Not sure about one of your subjects? We can help with that too. We run Support Centers where not only our teachers, but also fellow students are available to assist you. We offer tutoring in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. We can also provide guidance when writing bachelor’s and master’s theses.
Support centres
Math Support Centre
It was established to support our students in their studies of mathematics-related courses. It helps bridge the gap between the level of knowledge acquired at secondary school and the level required here at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. We offer the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the subject in a more informal learning environment.
Physics Support Centre
It was established to support students at our university in their studies of introductory physics courses. Our teachers will help bridge the gap between students’ current level of physics knowledge and the level required here. The Physics Support Centre does not replace lectures and tutorials, but serves as an additional learning resource.
Chemistry Support Centre
It was established to support students at our university in their studies of introductory chemistry courses. Our teachers will help bridge the gap between students’ current level of chemistry knowledge and the level required here. Writing Support Centre
The Writing Support Centre provides students and staff with support in academic and professional writing through courses and workshops. It also offers consultations on text production, teaching academic writing, and supporting publication activities in both Czech and English. It works closely with colleagues from the Central Library.
