The deposit
The deposit of amount of CZK 8,000 must be paid within 14 days after the submittion of the Accommodation application. Your claim for accommodation expires in case of non-payment of the deposit during this periode.
How to pay the deposit
If you submit an application for accommodation, you can use the link to pay the deposit via EPS, which you can find after logging into the ISKAM system in the upper part (pink part).
For the deposit payment you can use also our link: https://eps.vsb.cz/iskam.php. Log in with your variable symbol which was generated by the ISKAM system. Find it in system ISKAM - Basic information section.
You make the payment through the EPS payment gateway in ISKAM. We recommend this method to avoid high bank fees.
The deposit will be returned upon termination of accommodation and after payment of all financial debts according to specific conditions (end of study).
The deposit refund: for refunding the deposit in case of non-arrival, see point 10 of the part "Applying for accommodation".
Valid for students with visa requirement
The students needing issue a Housing contract to obtain the visa, have to submit the Accommodation application at first and pay the deposit within 14 days. The contract only be issued after the deposit has been paid. We therefore call for the deposit to be paid as soon as possible.

The issued Housing contract for getting the visa doesn´t guarantee the accommodation place at the dormitory. The accommodation place is guaranteed only once your accommodation application status changes to "approved".
Please note also that you will not be accommodated without the deposit payment!
Housing contract
The Housing contract must be electronically signed according to the Accommodation time schedule. It is necessary to have paid the deposit to sign the Housing contract.
If you do not speak Czech, always sign the contract in English. You can select the language after logging in to ISKAM in the lower right corner.
Moving-in
If arriving at the halls of residence on a working day during office hours you register in the Accommodation office: Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
If arriving outside the office hours of the Accommodation office or on Saturday, Sunday: You register at the reception AB which is open 24/7, you get the room keys and bed sheets. You can accommodate.
Late moving-in the dormitory
The date of entry into the dormitory, which you have chosen on the Housing contract is BINDING. Your dormitory fees are calculated from this date.
In the event that you will not be able to enter the dormitory until the 30.9. (WS) or 28.2. (29.2.) (SS) due to not obtaining visa, but you are interested in the accommodation, it is necessary to fill in the Request for postponing the date of entry to the VSB-TUO dormitory. You have to complete the request and send it to e-mail: accommodation@vsb.cz.
You will receive an Addendum to postpone the date of entry to the VSB-TUO dormitory, see: https://www.vsb.cz/export/sites/vsb/ubytovani/.content/galerie-souboru/Addendum_Postponement-of-the-moving-in.pdf). This addendum must be signed by the student and sent again to the e-mail: accommodation@vsb.cz.
The reservation fees are 1500 CZK per month.
Room inspection
Please inspect your room upon entering in order to determine if the room equipment, entrance hall, bathroom and toilet are in working order. Any defects should be immediately reported as later defects can be charged to your account.
Disinterest accommodation
If you are not interested in accommodation, contact us and follow the instructions according to the document Decision regarding the accommodation.
In the event that you do not check-in the dormitory or do not properly cancel the reservation till:
- 25.8. of the given year (see the Accommodation time schedule for the given AR, for the winter semester) or
- 31.1. of the next year, see the Accommodation time schedule for the given AR, for the summer semester,
the Accommodation Services are entitled to charge a cancellation fee of CZK 3,000.
Students whose accommodation request has been approved:
- after 25.8. of the given year (winter semester) or
- after 31.1. of the next year (summer semester)
and the Decision on accommodation has been sent, they can cancel the request within two calendar days after receiving the Decision on accommodation without charging a cancellation fee. Otherwise, the accommodation will be canceled and the accommodation applicant will be charged a cancellation fee in the amount of CZK 3,000 according to the valid Fees and Sanctions price list.
