The Alza BOX is located in the dormitory area near the bus stop in front of the building C.

Students staying in dormitories can use the bicycle storage for storing their bicycle. The bicycle storage is located on the ground floor of building A, B and E. The service provides reception staff A-B and E. The bicycle is stowed upon submission of your identification card.

This service is free of charge.

Do you want to relax and unwind from learning? There is possible to rent board games at the reception AB and E.

Games can be reserved in the ISKAM system in the application "Service reservations" for a period of min. 1 hour and max. 6 hours. The reservation can be made min. 10 minutes before start. You can cancel the reservation max. 30 minutes before the start.

This service is free.

The gym is located on the 1st floor of building E. The gym will be open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is unmanned. For this reason, at least two users must be present in the gym.

Here you will find weight benches, Olympic axes of various weights, a set of kettlebells, one-handed dumbbells, a wallball set and many other fitness elements.

The gym can be used by anyone who is accommodated in the dormitories and buys a non-transferable season ticket worth CZK 1,200 for one semester. You can buy a season ticket at the reception of building E, either in cash or by credit card.

Every time you enter the gym, you must show your season ticket and student ID (ISIC) at the reception of building E. If interested, users of the gym can borrow a set of exercise bands at the reception.

Season ticket holders can reserve the gym in the ISKAM system in the "Service reservation" application.

Students staying in dormitories have the opportunity to use the gym or the mirror hall for free. Both gymnasiums can be hired at the reception of building E against your identification card.

A free charging station for e-bikes and e-scooters is located in the outdoor area of ​​the residence halls between buildings A and C, near the bicycle racks.

There are kitchenettes on each floor under room designations 420 - 1320 in buildings A and B.

Newly renovated kitchens are available for students in the buildings C, D and E. Kitchens are equipped with cookers with ceramic hob and electric kettle. The grate to the oven can be borrowed free of charge at individual receptions, for a period of 24 hours.

Venue

Keys to these rooms can be borrowed against your identification card at the reception of each building. This is a paid service - CZK 80 per every started 1 hour. You can also purchase 720 CZK voucher/10 hours washing at the reception. This voucher is transferable and can be used by anyone.

Dryer rooms are mostly part of laundry rooms. This service is free of charge.

Laundry service is scheduled from 06:00 to 23:00 every day.

Venue

The Left-luggage office is used to store things that the student wants to keep in the dormitory during the summer months. These are students who have a Housing contract for the next academic year.

The Left-luggage office is usually established for the period from May to October of the relevant year and its establishment is announced on the website, including the opening hours of the Left-luggage office.

Price is fixed at 50, - CZK / 1 luggage.

Incoming post for students (letters or package arrival announcements)  is in the individual letter boxes. Students will find a letter box in the ground floor of each building, usually near the reception. The letter boxes are identified by room number.

Did you forget your mobile phone charger at home? Does not matter. There are several types of chargers available for free at the reception AB.

Students can spend their free time from April to October on outdoor playgrounds or minigolf.

Outdoor playing areas are open to students accommodated in dormitories in Ostrava-Poruba and to the public daily from 14:00 to 22:00 during the months April-October, depending on the weather.

Outside the specified opening hours, the entrance to the playing area is allowed only to students staying at the dormitories in Ostrava-Poruba, from 9.00 am at the earliest. Entrance will be open upon request by receptionists at the reception E.

Barbecue areas are located in the minigolf area and are accessible to students staying at the dormitories in Ostrava-Poruba daily from 14:00 to 21:00 during the months April-October, during the OPERATION OF MINIGOLF (staff will be present at minigolf). Outside the office hours and at distance of 4 meters from the minigolf is grilling prohibited under the penalty of CZK 500.

Within the hotel car park lot, 10 parking spaces are reserved for accommodated for the duration of 1 academic year (September 1-August 31). Request for provision of this service incl. car license plate number you can send  to accommodation@vsb.cz.

The price of the service is charged - 1500 CZK for 1 academic year.

Music rooms can be reserved in the ISKAM system in the application "Service reservations" for a period of min. 1 hour and max. 2 hours. The reservation can be made min. 10 minutes before start. You can cancel the reservation max. 30 minutes before the start.

Music rooms keys are at the reception of buildings C, E and can be borrowed againts identification card. Pianos are on the 7. floor in the building D (piano Scholze) and on the 8. floor in the building E (piano Riga).

Music room E819 was renovated and supplemented with a drum set.

Opening hours is from 8:00 to 20:00 hours.

The pizzeria is located on the campus next to the post office.

The PPL BOX is located in the dormitory area near the pizzeria in front of the building C.

The Rental of beddings is located on the ground floor of the building C, next lift. You may borrow bedclothes at the beginning of accommodation. Over the course of your study you may exchange used bedclothes for clean ones according to the time plan (every 3 weeks) against your identification card. The bedclothes is returned upon terminating accommodation. Provision and exchange of bedding is is charged of charge in accordance with the time plan (exchange of bedding):

- a one-time fee for borrowing bed linen in the amount of CZK 150;

- a one-time fee for borrowing Larisa's blanket in the amount of CZK 80;

- a fee for the regular change of bed linen (fee charged monthly for the duration of the loan even without the actual change of bed linen) in the amount of CZK 55;

- a fee for changing linen at other times in the amount of CZK 55.

A student identification card must be presented at each visit to the Rental of beddings.

Opening hours

The self-service laundry is located on the ground floor of the building E (room no. E148) and on the ground floor of the connecting corridor "J" between building A and C (room no. J113). Laundries are equipped with 2 sets of washing machines and dryers with automatic detergent dispensing. Washing machines and dryers are connected to a card reader (use student´s card), through which the washing and drying cycle is triggered, and the cost of the service is deducted froum the user´s account.

This means that the student controls the washing machines and dryers by means of an identification card issued by the school (students: ISIC, Student´s card, Employee: Employee´s card).

Price 1 wash cycle including washing powder is 95 CZK. Price 1 drying cycle is 45 CZK.

Operation hours of the self-service laundry on the ground floor of the connecting corridor "J" between building A and C are 24/7.

Operation hours of the self-service laundry on the ground floor of the building E are set from 8:00 to 22:00 o´clock every day. The last washing cycle can be started before 21:00 o´clock.

A site with an overview of the state of the self-service laundry facility has been included in our website. Here you can check the actual occupancy of each washing machine and dryer. You will find a report of your washed and dried laundry after logging into the system.

At the reception of each building are small electrical appliances. It is a contact grill, rice maker, vacuums and irons. You will need your identification card to rent them. If you find any fault on the appliances, please, report it to the reception.

The service for renting the contact grill, rice maker and vacuum cleaner is charged - 30 CZK / hour.

The iron rental is free for charge.

In the individual buildings is a designated smoking area marked with a warning sign "SMOKING ALLOWED = KOUŘENÍ POVOLENO". These rooms are open all day. In case of a closure at night, it is possible to rent the keys at the reception against your identification card.
