Eva Tylečková is a Junior Researcher at the Department of Quality Management at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. With a background in Quality Management, her research focuses on advanced quality management systems, statistical methods in quality, and process optimization.

She is particularly interested in improving industrial and business processes through data-driven approaches, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement. As part of her work in process optimization, she incorporates modern technologies, including simulation in ema Software Suite, to model production systems, identify inefficiencies, and enhance operational performance.

Digital Factory and Work Planning using Battery and Fuel Cell Manufacturing Examples

Presentation Abstract:

The presentation demonstrates how the ema Software Suite is used for the digital planning and design of a sustainable battery factory and its economically and ergonomically optimized workstations. The ema Software Suite (emaSWS) enables comprehensive factory and work planning by integrating digital human models. emaSWS are used to optimize the machine utilization, throughput times, production costs, material flow efforts, and storage areas, while also providing in-depth evaluations of execution times and ergonomic factors based on established industry standards such as MTM and EAWS.

The use of integrated 3D human models supports the design of skill- and age-appropriate work processes, ensuring efficient and ergonomic working conditions for all employees. By leveraging simulations and VR applications, a participatory design process is implemented, actively engaging employees in the workplace layout. This approach enhances both the feasibility and acceptance of the design, ultimately contributing to the long-term quality and sustainability of the results.
