Modelling of Multivariate Data from Production and Simulation

Presentation Abstract:

The advantages of this special statistical data analysis are discussed:

  • Industrial-suited number of samples – max. benefit from min. number of samples
  • Data from simulation or in-process measurement is analysed
  • With and without DOE (Design Of Experiments)
  • Useable even for correlating input data
  • Flexible in- and output data types (discrete values, curves, 3D-surfaces)
  • Unlimited number of variables
  • Overview of complex interactions between process parameters (input variables) and targets (output variables)
  • Quality assurance and real-time control

The principle is explained with the following steps: syntax analysis, standardization, checking for cross-correlations, compression, modelling, various analysis options, optimization, in-process control. Functions are discussed that allow any combination of parameters to be set and the respective target responses to be obtained and displayed graphically.

Examples are shown from measured production data, from simulation results and from the combination of both data sources. The examples are presented using the original tool and reference is made to the Fraunhofer spin-off. Production-ready tools for individual processes and tools in the development stage for modeling process chains are presented. The procedure for a DOE proposal (Design Of Experiments), the sensitivity and robustness analysis is explained.
