Jan Pícha graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication at Brno University of Technology, specialising in Microelectronics (M.Sc., 2010). He has worked in automotive electronics development for many years. He started his career at Siemens VDO as a technician in a development laboratory. From 2010 to 2015, he worked at Continental as a level sensor developer. He later served as Chief Electronics Officer at Hella Autotechnik Nova, where he contributed to the development of headlamps for Mercedes GLA and GLB vehicles. Since 2020, he has been with Tatra Trucks a.s., initially as an electro-designer, then as head of the electronics department, and currently as an electronics development manager. Jan is responsible for the conception and implementation of electronic vehicle architectures and for leading development teams. His key projects include serial automotive component development and system integration, including level oil sensors for Volvo VEA, General Motors, and Volkswagen engines at Continental, and at Tatra the electronic architectures of Tatra Force 3rd generation and Tatra Phoenix (2024) as well as the implementation of the GSR system in Tatra Force vehicles.
