The aim of modern production systems must be to produce as little scrap as possible ( zero-defect production ). A significant proportion of scrap in the forming production of sheet metal components is due to batch-dependent fluctuations in material properties. For example, unacceptable geometric deviations occur due to increased springback. The aim of the project is to record the actual state of the material (thickness, flatness, straightening forces) and to influence it by active regulation in the straightening process, prior to the forming process to minimize the necessary interventions in the parameters of the forming process itself, to minimize the equipment of the sensors of the press itself and to minimize waste production.
