WEBINAR - Publishing Roadmap

How to find the right journal for your safety research

The CESAR team is launching PublishCLUB, a new initiative that forms part of a broader strategy to support and develop publication activities at the faculty. The aim of PublishCLUB is to create a safe and open space for discussion, idea sharing, and mutual support in preparing manuscripts for high-quality scientific journals.

During the spring semester, a series of four sessions will take place. From February to April, three online workshops will be held, followed by one in-person session in May. The sessions will focus on key aspects of academic publishing, including article structure, individual sections of a manuscript (abstract, introduction, discussion), publication ethics, citations, and related topics. Participants will also have the opportunity to submit a draft manuscript for feedback, which can be discussed in more detail during the final in-person meeting.

The first PublishCLUB session, titled
Publishing roadmap: How to find the right journal for your safety research,
will focus on the crucial first step of the publishing process – selecting the most suitable journal to ensure the research achieves the impact it deserves.

The workshop series is primarily designed for Ph.D. students, but it is open to anyone interested in improving their publishing skills. The format emphasizes discussion and practical guidance rather than formal lectures and also provides an opportunity to network with colleagues facing similar publishing challenges.
