FEI Journal Club: Artificial Intelligence Without the Gloss – Real Challenges and Real Impact

The panel discussion will offer an open perspective on the current state of artificial intelligence – its possibilities, limitations, and impacts on research, industry, and society. Leading experts shaping current AI research and applications will take part in the discussion.

Speakers:

Kateřina Borovanská
Founder and owner of the F Major Group, focused on building B2B infrastructure connecting business intelligence, strategic networking platforms, and consulting activities.

Vladimír Mařík
A pioneer in cybernetics and artificial intelligence and their industrial applications. Founder of the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics at the Czech Technical University in Prague.

Ondřej Volný
Neurologist, Vice-Dean for Science and Research at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava and Chairman of the Czech Society for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovative Technologies in Medicine of the Czech Medical Association JEP.

Dalibor Mráz
Leader of the ČERNÁ.AI platform within the Černá kostka project, which connects companies, research institutions, and the public sector and supports the development of AI in the Czech Republic.

Radek Martinek
Professor of Cybernetics and Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, University Coordinator for Space Research, and Senior Member of IEEE.
