The aim of this project was to establish a long-term partnership with the leading research partners of the Czech and Slovak Republics in the field of Energy 4.0. According to the call for proposals, the project E4.0CZ-SK "Research partnership with the Czech Republic and Slovakia on the topic of Energy 4.0" was divided into two phases.
The first phase started on 01 January 2019. Within this phase, four work packages were to be processed. For the end of the first funding phase, the first milestone, M1: Derivation of defined research topics for the proposal preparation in phase 2, was defined. This was already achieved before the end of the first project phase.
The second milestone, M2: Successful preparation and submission of an H2020 proposal and at least two peripheral research proposals was also achieved. Several collaborative research proposals were developed and submitted despite the pandemic restrictions. The Horizon proposal was submitted due to the submission deadline, in January 2021. Thus, it can be stated that all goals of the project have been achieved. Especially for the foundation of the "Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Applied Artificial Intelligence for Materials & Manufacturing at VSB - Technical University of Ostrava FIP-AI@VSB-TUO", this project provided essential groundwork and is therefore considered as a precursor of the FIP-AI@VSB-TUO.
