Recognition of language certificates in English.
Technical faculties, full-time study:
A - intermediate:
Only international exams in professional-technical language at B2 level and higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) are recognized. Certificates of general language are not recognized.
Technical faculties, combined study:
A - intermediate:
Only international exams of general English at B1 level and higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages are recognized, e.g. Cambridge ESOL PET or F.
Faculty of Economics, full-time study:
International exams in business English at B2 level or higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages are recognized, e.g. Cambridge BEC Vantage. Certificates of general language are not recognized.
Faculty of Economics, combined study:
International exams in Business English at B1 level and higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages are recognized, e.g. Cambridge BEC Preliminary.
Period: winter semester from 17 September 2012
Students come to the Institute of Foreign Languages with the form for the recognition of credit or exam, which can be obtained in their study office, or printed from the website of the corresponding faculty. Next, students bring their student card or summary of subjects and the national identity card. It is necessary to appear in person to be granted recognition.
The form does not have to include the subject guarantor’s opinion.
