The lecture will be on the topic of Research in Fiber Sensors and Supercontinuum Lasers, which will introduce you to the activities of his scientific group, the Fiber Sensors & Supercontinuum Group. The group operates at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and brings together 20 people who develop optical fibers (covering transmission from UV to mid-infrared) and use them for optical sensors and fiber supercontinuum lasers, with applications primarily in optical coherence tomography (OCT) and spectroscopy for trace gas detection and pollution monitoring.
In this lecture, Oleg Bang will focus on an overview of the activities and fundamentals of supercontinuum lasers, OCT, and the main optical fiber modalities used by the group.
