Research-methods training by Instats - A free trial for all VSB-TUO students and employees!
Instats are an academic, research-training platform offering seminars and workshops for PhD and post-PhD researchers across a wide range of disciplines. You can choose from more than 400 expert-led programs across quantitative, qualitative, AI, and computational methods. New seminars are added every week. The platform also runs forums, and Q&A boards.
Instats offer both on-demand courses, which can be taken anytime at your own pace, and live-streamed courses delivered in real time by expert instructors. In addition, some courses are available completely free of charge.
How to access the courses?
- Access free seminars.
- Become an individual member. As a member you also have access to an AI Research Assistant and Curriculum Builder.
- VSB-TUO is an Instats affiliate member, which means that all VSB-TUO students and employees are entitled to a 30% discount on the on-demand courses of their choice.

For the first two weeks of October, Instats are offering a complimentary trial running from 1 to 15 October, 2026. Just sign in at instats.org using your university (@vsb.cz) email address.
HOW ACCESS WORKS:
• Existing users: anyone who already has an Instats account with their university email is upgraded automatically.
• New users: create a free account at instats.org using a university email, then open On-Demand — everything is unlocked during the trial.

• Go to instats.org and sign in (or create an account).
• Open the On-Demand page — everything is unlocked during the trial.
• New: use the Pathways curriculum builder to design a learning pathway for yourself or your students.
• In any seminar, open the AI research Assistant tab or start watching a Content video for real-time answers to technical questions about the content.
