On 15 July, CESNET Director Jakub Papírník signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step for the EOSC Node Czechia, coordinated by the e-INFRA CZ consortium led by CESNET, towards full membership in the EOSC Federation.
The EOSC Node Czechia connects the national EOSC platform and the national e-infrastructure with the EOSC Federation, which is being developed to create a European environment for the storage and analysis of high-quality research data. It provides researchers with access to advanced computing resources, secure environments for working with sensitive data, data repositories, and AI-based services. At the same time, it creates opportunities for Czech research services and outputs to be integrated into the European Open Science environment.
The invitation to sign the EOSC Federation MoU confirms the high level of EOSC implementation in the Czech Republic and the quality of the national e-infrastructure, e-INFRA CZ.
