The research will focus on improving the efficiency of secure key generation during the post-processing phase of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). The successful candidate will work on quantum networks and quantum cryptography, design and optimization of algorithms, machine learning methods for network optimization, and real data and simulation tools.
QUESTING brings together leading European universities and research institutions with the aim of training a new generation of experts in quantum technologies. The PhD programme also includes international research secondments at the University of Essex, United Kingdom, and the Austrian Institute of Technology, Austria.
