The dEsign enVironmEnt foR Extreme-Scale big data analyTics on heterogeneous platforms (EVEREST) project aims to develop a holistic approach to co-designing computation and communication in the high-tech and secure systems for High Performance Data Analytics. This will be achieved by simplifying the programmability of heterogenous and distributed architectures through a data-driven design approach, the use of hardware-accelerated AI, and an efficient monitoring of the execution with a unified hardware/software paradigm. The project will validate its approach by applying it in real-life business scenarios, such as a weather analysis-based prediction model, an application for air-quality monitoring and a smart city traffic modelling framework.
