The objective of the four-year project models, EXperiments and high PERformance computing for Turbine mechanical Integrity and Structural dynamics in Europe (EXPERTISE), which started in March 2017, was to train researchers to be capable of participating in interdisciplinary cooperation. The success of the project lay in the collaboration between industrial partners and scientific research organisations, which significantly sped up the development of key technologies in turbomachinery and aided in their rapid commissioning in practice. The project was supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network grant within the European Framework Programme Horizon 2020.
