The target of the Large-Scale Execution for Industry & Society (LEXIS) project was to build an advanced engineering platform utilising modern technologies from High Performance Computing, Big Data and Cloud Computing. The benefits of the LEXIS project were demonstrated in the context of three industrial large-scale pilot test cases which are aeronautics, weather and climate, and earthquakes and tsunamis.
