The goal of the Open Access Infrastructure for Research in Europe 2020 (OpenAIRE2020) project was to create an open and sustainable infrastructure for scientific communication that is responsible for the overall management, analysis, manipulation, delivery, monitoring and interconnection of all research outputs (publications, associated datasets, software and other research outputs) in existing, planned and future repositories. The project also aimed at strengthening the relationship of the European Open Access infrastructure with other regions in the world, in particular Latin America and the USA. Within the OpenAIRE2020 project, the Central Library of VSB-TUO fulfilled the role of National Open Access Desks, i.e. the provider of methodological and information support for the target group of researchers, project team leaders, project administrators, etc. All OpenAIRE2020 activities were focused on the support and acceleration of open science, in which open access plays a fundamental role.
