This integrated strategy contains projects with expected multi-source funding (OP ST, OP JAK, OP TAK, etc.). Two flagship projects are currently being prepared for the needs of the OP Just Transition Fund.
- REFRESH uses the concept of interconnected living laboratories within a shared infrastructure: the Energy Lab, the Materials & Environment Lab and the Industry 4.0 & Automotive Lab, operating as an open innovation ecosystem operating in a territorial context.
- UNDERGROUND LAB is a project that aims to transform a former coal mine into an underground laboratory with significant links to basic and applied research and the significant involvement of commercial partners.
The planned activities listed in the scheme include research and development for industrial digitalisation, next generation technical devices for the automotive industry, energy research, materials design and advanced synthesis, materials characterisation, building and operating the Underground Lab, and the development of supercomputing. The social impact of all of the above proposed activities and transformations are fully in accordance with the strategy and priorities of the European Commission, the Czech Republic and the Moravian-Silesian Region.
