JOGGING
Jogging class at VŠB-TUO focuses on improving running technique and overall running performance or endurance. The lessons are mostly practical, involving running in a natural environment on the Oher Circuit and around the VŠB-TUO area. Practical lessons are supplemented by theoretical insights from the instructor, helping students understand the principles of proper running technique, body position, and creating a sustainable long-term training plan.
Requirements: Running shoes and sportswear. The meeting point is at the entrance of the VSH (Tennis Hall VŠB-TUO), where changing rooms are available. The requirements for obtaining the credit will be announced in the first class.
Course Content:
• Correction and development of running technique: Lessons focus on proper running technique, foot strike, and arm movement. Students learn how to use energy efficiently and minimize the risk of injury.
• Body position correction while running: Emphasis is placed on correct torso, head, and arm positioning during running. Technique correction is individualized and focuses on mistakes that could lead to discomfort, injury, or lower performance.
• Running in a natural environment: The practical part of the course takes place mostly on the Oher Circuit in the woods, where after a joint warm-up, students undergo an individually adjusted “training” or a free run in nature. Students will also try different training methods for running and endurance skills throughout the lessons.
• Individual approach and practical application: Training is adapted to each student’s level, allowing for individual development and focus on specific needs and goals. The aim is for students to acquire practical skills and knowledge that they can apply in their everyday lives and to gain an understanding of how to effectively improve their fitness and health through running and regular training.
The goal of the course is to improve students' physical fitness, endurance, and running technique, as well as their ability to move efficiently in natural environments. Jogging is an ideal way to enhance physical fitness, enjoy nature, and prepare for various running challenges.
