Yes you can. To do this, you need to install a printer for printing via SafeQ and connect to the university network (vpn, wi-fi). After sending the job for printing, it is necessary to pick it up at any device connected to SafeQ.

If you want to be sure that the print (even a black-and-white image) will be realy black and white you need to have the latest version of the driver installed and select it in the Color tab to print in black and white.
It is a good idea to set black and white printing as the default. However, some applications ignore this setting (for example, Windows photo printing applications). We therefore recommend that you check the settings before printing.

Due to the fact that mail servers discard emails with larger attachments, the SafeQ system does not send large scanned documents (more than approx. 10MB) directly. The file is saved to the server and a download link is sent. Downloading can also be done from personal PCs. In this case, it is necessary for the computer to be connected to the university network - eg via VPN or wi-fi on the school premises.The file is available for download on the server for 7 days. It is deleted after this time.

It is necessary to set black and white printing in the printer properties - the settings in the pdf browser window (the Print in shades of gray (black and white) option does not work correctly! This option only converts to grayscale, however, if color printing is set in the printer properties, the printer can use color toners for more shade credibility — printing is then billed as color.

When you select to print all jobs, the machine prints all pending jobs correctly one at a time. However, selecting this option usually does not update the pending jobs correctly, and only some are deleted from the list. If job printing from this list is selected, printing will be performed twice! It is therefore necessary to check the performed outputs, the list should be updated, for example, by switching to another tab and back.

To send a job for printing, it is necessary to be in the VŠB - TU Ostrava network. Logging in with an OSU account will not allow this. For commissioning, it is necessary to register the OSU student at the Card Center. The login details obtained during registration will provide the necessary access.

In Windows 10, pdf files open in the Edge browser by default. It turned out that printing may not be successful - the print job is sent to the SafeQ server without any problems, no error occurs when trying to print, however, it will not print.We recommend using another pdf file viewer and printing from it (eg Adobe Acrobat Reader).
