The student identification card plays an important role within the university. The card is realized in the form of a chip personalized identification card. Therefore it serves to prove identity but also to identify the student (using a chip on the card) for access to services available within the university:

Every VŠB-TUO student is obliged to be a holder of a Student Identification Card. Students have the right to choose from two types of cards. In the case of the full-time form of study, either ISIC or Standard. For combined study, it is possible to issue an ALIVE student or Standard card. Furthermore, the student must decide whether he wants to have a card integrated with the ODIS transport card (see Price list of services) or not.

All types of student ID cards that we issue at the Card Center are part of the European Student Card project. The aim of the project is to make it easier for students to travel to other universities in the future and also to maximize the simplicity of verifying student status for external entities.
