The reservation for concrete day and time to create a new card is required from 1.8.2020. Reservations are not required for other activities like card revalidation, new employee cards, etc.
Each student has to choose one type of card:
- Standard
- free of charge university identity card
- allows the use of services provided to students in the Czech Republic
- ISIC
- costs 180,- Kč
- only for full time form of study reavalidation for each year costs 180,- Kč
- international student card, provides a lot of discounts and benefits:
- culture – discounts on entrance fees to museums, galleries, historic and cultural monuments
- traveling – discounts on rail, bus, boat and airplaine tickets; discounts on accommodation and meals; discounts on travel insurance
- free time activity - discounts on sporting facilities, clubs

- ALIVE Student
- costs 180,- Kč
- only for part-time form of study reavalidation for each year costs 180,- Kč
- provides a lot of discounts and benefits (similar to ISIC) only in Czech Republic

Each type of card can also contains public transport card ODISka. Price of this extension is 50Kč.
It is neccessary to get to Card center (located in VŠB - TU Ostrava campus in Ostrava Poruba, building A, room A148) after entry procedure. Don't forget to take your passport or identity card and VŠB-TU Ostrava login (provide during entry procedure) during working hours. In Card center will be taken your photo and the card will be printed immediately. Change the type of card later cost much more money in comparition with the first one.
