VSB-TUO considers development of internationalisation and the associated development of student and employee mobilities to be one of its main priorities. Therefore, VSB-TUO employees can also obtain financial support for mobilities outside Europe, within the VSB-TUO “Internationalisation Program (mobilities outside EU)”.

The aim of the project is to support business trips of university employees, both academics and technical and economic staff, which are not included in the Erasmus+ programme or any other European programme.

The main purpose is to support activities which lead to development of internationalisation, strengthening current partnerships, attracting new potential partnerships or recruitment of students. These partnerships have to lead to further development of cooperation whether it be in mobility possibilities for employees or students or research activities. The program encourages research as well as teaching activities but it does not support the attendance of conferences or language courses.

As one of the aims is to increase the diversity of partnerships and the quality of agreements we have, trips to destinations where we lack thereof such as Australia and Oceania, North and South America, Africa and Asia will be valuable.

The program supports business trips to:

  • countries outside Europe,
  • institutions that we have Memorandum of Understanding or similar agreement with
  • new institutions in order to commence partnership and cooperation,
  • it is possible to visit more institutions during one business trip,
  • the minimal duration of the trip is 5 days (without travel days).

The travel allowance:

  • is no more than 50 000 CZK for a business trip,
  • the support covers travel expenses reimbursement, per diem, accommodation, and local transport,
  • funds are allocated per calendar year.

In case that the specified financial support for mobility is exceeded, the participant is obliged to secure its financing from other sources.

Selection of employees:

  • at the beginning of the calendar year, the University International Office will announce selection procedure at the end of which all registered applicants will be notified of the outcome,
  • depending on the current drawdown status, an additional selection procedure can be announced later in the year,
