Workshop LITERATURE SEARCH IN A NUTSHELL: Search Tools & Artificial Intelligence Basics

A practical workshop that introduces students to literature searches and AI basics as good literature search practice saves time, minimizes the risk of mistakes, and improves the quality of your work.

This workshop is intended for students who are beginning to realize that finding adequate literature is not just about "googling." And although generative AI can be of help, it is not always reliable. The internet is an inexhaustible source of information. However, the art of finding what we are looking for only comes with knowing where and how to search, and how to evaluate what we have found or generated. A good literature search practice saves time, minimizes the risk of mistakes, and improves the quality of your work. We will go through all the essentials in one place, at one time, with practical demonstrations and space for your questions.

The workshop will take place on September 11, 2025 in the Central Library, room UK150, between 8.00 and 14:00.

The workshop will be facilitated by Mgr. Vendula Hustáková.

Workshop is held within the project Staff development and student support at VŠB-TUO CZ.02.02.XX/00/23_022/0009115.

We look forward to seeing you at the workshop.
