Do you want to study in Ostrava and are you looking for accommodation? To make you stay in the dormitory easier you will need:
Passwords
A unified password is needed for access to the academic computer network and the academic information systems, too. Examples of information systems supporting a unified password: EDISON, e-mail, AT-koleje, food order etc... More information can be found here.
Cards - identity cards
Each student has to choose one type of card. More information can be found on the Card Center website.
Once you receive your ID card, please bring it to the Accommodation office for registration.
Wireless network - WIFI at VSB-TUO
Vysoká škola báňská - Technická univerzita Ostrava provides on-campus wireless connectivity for its employees and students. Users can access to these networks (SSID).
Information about the internet connection in the dormitory can be found here.
Students of universities other than VŠB-TUO will find more information about joining the local WIFI network here. You can find a list of connected organizations here.
All communication with the student takes place via e-mail with the web interface posta.vsb.cz.
