Summary
The course introduces students to the full range of professional areas that are part of the building. Attention is focused on the issue of building materials, engineering and bridge design, geotechnical and underground construction, road construction, traffic engineering, urban engineering, built environment, preparation and construction and facility management.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The goal of this course is to provide students the general professional basis for further study. The course informs students with a clear manner the full range of professional areas that are part of the civil engineering. At the end of the studies is included a written test in which the student demonstrates knowledge of professional terminology and basic understanding of relational dependencies between different professional areas.

5 Introduction to underground construction

7 Traffic Engineering and its role in civil engineering
8 Roads and road construction
9 Railway Engineering
10 Urban Engineering as part of an integrated approach to urban development
11 The environment of buildings, building equipment systems
12 Preparation and construction
13 Asset management and operation of buildings as an integrated part of the Facility Management
